If you ever wish to unsubscribe from the john-users mailing list, you may do so by sending any message (empty will do) from your subscribed address to john [dash] users [dash] unsubscribe [at] lists [dot] openwall [dot] com and then “replying” to the automated confirmation request (this is needed to prevent someone else from unsubscribing you).
By the way, this address is given in the
List-Unsubscribe header of every message arriving to you through the list, as well as in the “welcome” message that you should have received when you joined the list.
Alternatively, you may enter your subscribed e-mail address into the input box at http://www.openwall.com/john/#lists and click the “Unsubscribe from john-users” button. You will also need to “reply” to the automated confirmation request.
The most common difficulty people are having is not recalling their subscribed address correctly. This address may be found embedded in the
Return-Path header of every message arriving to you through the list.
If you experience any difficulties unsubscribing, please contact us at john [dash] users [dash] admin [at] lists [dot] openwall [dot] com. Please be sure to forward to us any message you've received through the list with full technical headers included, so that we'd be able to determine the address you're subscribed at.
